Located in the archives, The Freeport News article covering former Prime Minister Hubert Ingraham's announcement granting Grand Bahama's first independent radio license to Cay Gottlieb & Dave Mackey. This license was for the radio station now known as COOL96. In the end the license was issued to Cay Gottlieb's company Dovoro Ltd. Web master Dave Mackey ended up outside of this arrangement and moved on, taking up the position of manager of Bahamas national radio station 100JAMZ Grand Bahama operations.
